Music is Life

Over my digital life, if I’ve shared anything, it’s song snippets and videos (with Bible scripture verses not far behind). The shares are usually accompanied with the the hashtag MUSICMATTERS but in light of the current conversations finally being had worldwide I’d rather say MUSIC IS LIFE. The right song can change the atmosphere and help you focus on the redeeming parts of being alive. Not to mention how sacred music can usher you into the presence of the true and living God Himself.

Since 2017, I’ve been on a mission to go to more concerts and now in light of COVID-19 (& the lack of clear information around transmission and treatment) I don’t know what the state of live music will be in the future. It’s been great to see more artists go live on social media and offer conversation & concerts via video conferencing; but it’s just not the same without being in the same space with them and the rest of the audience. We’ll see who things develop. 🙏🏾💃🏽🙏🏾

All that said, my music share include:

  • ZO! Who recently released his 2019 project “FourFront” on vinyl! Buy it HERE

  • The album (yes, this qualifies as an album since it’s from the 80s) that I’ve been rocking today is “Zagora” by Loose Ends ❤️ Listen HERE

  • Two online experiences I can HIGHLY recommend are with two of my most favorite artists. Eric Roberson offers an upclose and transparent musical experience week in and week out with his Process Fam. He gives those in the Process first access and input on his songs, developing albums, and thumbs up (or down) votes on set lists for his last tour (and so much more). JOIN HERE Meanwhile, I am getting ready and excited for Eric Benét’s first online concert that will take place July 8. Don't Miss It!

  • My week started with this inspiration from Ricky Dillard. How I miss singing in the choir. Click HERE

Take some time to enjoy some good music today!

“Speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:19) 🗣
